Current Phase
While PEGO has innovated in various aspects such as technical architecture and design principles, it has also made innovations in terms of performance and consensus mechanisms compared to other projects. However, it still requires support in various areas such as TPS (Transactions Per Second) and application scenario expansion.
At the current stage, PEGO Chain has 21 validator nodes with a TPS of 2000+. To maintain network stability, validator nodes are still being expanded, and it is expected that the number of nodes will increase to 100+ in the future, resulting in an estimated TPS of around 500 for PEGO Chain. This may not be sufficient to meet the demands of large-scale, high-concurrency transactions. Building sidechains based on ZK-rollup technology can boost the TPS to 10,000+.
At the same time, PEGO Chain currently incurs approximately 0.4U in GAS fees for a single Swap transaction, indicating room for improvement.
The vision of PEGO Chain requires comprehensive ecosystem support. In this current situation, there is a significant demand for creating a dedicated layer-2 solution for PEGO Chain.
