Layer-2 solutions aim to address the core issues of blockchain. Here are the main problems that L2 aims to solve:

โ‘  Throughput: With the growth of decentralized applications (DApps) and DeFi, many blockchains often suffer from network congestion. L2 solutions increase throughput by creating a secondary network on top of the main chain, allowing more transactions to be processed in a short time.

โ‘ก Transaction Fees: When the main chain network is congested, transaction fees can skyrocket. This makes many small-value or frequently traded applications impractical. L2 solutions can significantly reduce transaction fees, making them affordable for more users and applications.

โ‘ข Speed: On the main chain, transactions need to wait for at least one block's confirmation, which can take several seconds to minutes. L2 solutions can provide near-real-time transaction confirmations.

โ‘ฃ Interoperability: Some L2 solutions aim to provide interoperability with other blockchains or L2 networks, allowing assets and data to flow between different networks.

โ‘ค Privacy: Some L2 technologies (e.g., zk-Rollups) offer enhanced privacy features, making transaction details invisible to external observers.

โ‘ฅ Flexibility: L2 solutions provide developers with more tools and frameworks, enabling them to create more complex and customized DApps.

This is the reason for building a layer-2 scalable infrastructure based on the PEGO chain, and in this context, PGDash was created based on PegoChain.
