Underlying Technologies
The lack of privacy protection and scalability are two major obstacles to the widespread adoption of blockchain technology. For example, Ethereum's network challenges related to scalability, privacy, and security were systematically discussed by Ethereum's creator, Vitalik Buterin. His conclusion was that zk-SNARKs would be as important as blockchain in the next 10 years. As a result, ZK technology has gradually become a technology that public chain ecosystems are beginning to focus on and adopt. PGDash is a Layer-2 exclusive to the PEGO chain built on the ZK-Rollup solution.
1. Application of ZK-SNARKs Technology
ZK-SNARKs (Zero-Knowledge Succinct Non-Interactive Argument of Knowledge) allows one party to verify the validity or correctness of a transaction without revealing additional information about the transaction. This cryptographic technique provides a way to prove the authenticity of transactions without disclosing sensitive information.
ZK-SNARKs stands for Zero-Knowledge Succinct Non-Interactive Argument of Knowledge and is widely used for constructing zero-knowledge protocols in non-interactive zero-knowledge proofs.
SNARKs can compress raw data into a very small proof to verify the correctness of its input data, making it a powerful tool for blockchain scalability, privacy, security, and more.
2. Application of Layer-2 Technology
Another core aspect of the PGDash project is the adoption of Layer-2 technology to migrate high-frequency transactions from the main chain to the second layer, thereby increasing transaction speed and throughput. This technology allows for a large number of transactions to be executed on the second layer and then aggregated and submitted to the main chain. This design can effectively reduce the burden on the main chain and improve transaction processing efficiency.
3. Application of ZK-Rollup in Scalability and Privacy
ZK-Rollup technology is considered the ultimate solution for scaling public chain ecosystems and is ahead of Optimistic Rollup. Optimistic Rollup assumes all transactions are optimistic and initiates a 7-day fraud proof challenge period after they are submitted to the chain. In contrast, ZK can directly and securely ensure the legitimacy of each on-chain transaction based on mathematical algorithms.
4. Data Compatibility Solution
To address the challenge of data incompatibility in a multi-chain environment, the project needs to develop innovative data compatibility solutions. This may involve data format standardization, data mapping, data validation, and more. Ensuring the consistency and accuracy of data between different chains is a key factor in achieving reliable cross-chain transactions and the possibility of interoperability between PegoChain and other public chain ecosystem assets.
